THANK YOU
THANK YOU
WE SHINE BRIGHTER TOGETHER.
Your financial gifts are being used to change our city, and strategic cities around the world. Rather than simply rallying religious people together, City Church launched with a passion to "Shine Light" beyond our Sunday morning walls to our own city--and cities around the world. Generosity is one of our five founding values where we say, "We invest in the eternal."
Since our founding in 2013, we have deeply invested in our own neighbourhood by partnering with backpacks and school supplies for local schools, and giving to food banks, homeless shelters, and women's shelters. We started with very humble beginnings, but our impact has grown exponentially as the cityzens of City Church give generously because of the love of God.
In the last few years, our impact has grown by helping to establish brand new churches across Québec, across Canada, in Boston, and now in Columbus, Ohio. Beyond North America, we have also been privileged to come alongside My Refuge House in Cebu, The Philippines and an incredible church in Jaipur, India. Thank you for your generosity!
But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this?
Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
~The Bible (1 Chronicles 29:14)

GIVING FAQ
Questions About Giving
Giving is an act of worship to our Creator. Nobody has to give, so it is a choice that we make out of gratitude, and out of obedience to the teachings of Jesus, and the women and men of faith found in The Bible. Giving grows your faith, and also helps you discipline your monthly budget.
Tithe literally means "a tenth." As early as the fourth chapter of The Bible, the tithe shows up, and the children of Israel gave two different tithes each year, and a third tithe in special years. The tithe is a significant amount that articulates our gratitude to God, and gives us the opportunity to invest into eternal things through the church, The Bride of Christ.
A lot! In Luke's biography, about a third of Jesus' words deal with money and possessions. Jesus affirmed tithing, and taught often about generosity and the heart. Jesus knew that we all get twisted when it comes to money, and taught that our heart follows what we believe about money.

We are passionate about giving to our City, Country and World. The name, City Church originated from our desire to deeply impact our own city, but also impact cities around the world.
We give to The Welcome Hall Mission, local women's shelters, and two organizations that serve new immigrants arriving in Montréal.
Within Québec, we give to C2C Collective to help fund the training and launch of new churches to reach our province. We also have been financial partners to Encounter Church in Boston, and Nuvo Church in Columbus, Ohio.
Cebu in The Philippines is the home of My Refuge House, a long-time partner of ours. This incredible organization takes young women rescued from human trafficking, and offers them a safe haven from which to heal, to learn, to grow, and to be trained for the workforce after staying several years. In the past three years, we were given an invitation to partner with a fantastic church in Jaipur, India. They do incredible work providing food and education for orphaned children, help fund the startup of new business for widowed women, and serve food for the poor in their community.
